Sign In and Account

Signing in to ChatCut takes one step — here’s every way in, plus the languages the interface speaks.

How do I sign in to ChatCut?

ChatCut’s sign-in page offers exactly two methods: “Continue with Google” or “Continue with email,” which sends a 6-digit one-time code — there’s no password to set or remember. Signing up uses the same flow: if you enter an email with no existing account, ChatCut asks “Create a new account with {email}?” with “Create” and “Use a different email” buttons, then sends the same 6-digit code and creates the account once you verify it. The code email states “This code expires in 10 minutes.” In the desktop app there’s no in-app login form — you tap “Continue in browser” and finish signing in through your system’s default browser.

Which languages does the ChatCut interface support?

The ChatCut editor interface is available in English (the default), Chinese (at /zh), Spanish (at /es), and Japanese (at /ja). Your interface language doesn’t limit what languages your videos, captions, or voiceovers can use.

What can I change from the avatar menu?

Select your avatar in the editor’s top-right corner. The menu shows your account email, current plan, credit balance, and Upgrade, followed by account-level actions:

  • Invite friend: open the submenu and copy your referral link. The submenu shows the current reward before you share it.
  • Language: switch the editor interface language.
  • Skin: choose Leonardo, Analog, Se7en, or Se7en Dark. This changes the editor appearance, not the exported video.
  • Feedback: report a problem or request a feature.
  • Keyboard shortcuts: inspect or customize the active shortcut preset.
  • Credits history: inspect balance changes, purchases, and subscription actions.
  • Sign out: end the current ChatCut account session on this device.

Billing actions are inside Credits history, not on a separate settings website. See Credits History and Manage Your Plan.

How do I request a feature or report a bug?

Open ChatCut’s feedback form to report a bug or request a feature — reach it from the round bug-icon button in the editor’s bottom-right corner, “Feedback” in your profile menu, or “Submit Feature Request” on the /roadmap page. Pick ”✨ Feature” or ”🐛 Bug”, write 10-2000 characters, and optionally attach up to 3 screenshots (images only, 10 MB each). Submitting requires a signed-in account — logged-out users see “Sign in to submit feedback.” Your submission goes straight to the ChatCut team for triage.

To vote on roadmap requests, sign in and open the /roadmap page, which lists items in three columns — Exploring, Coming up, and Released. Voting only works on items in Exploring; each account holds 3 active votes, and clicking a vote again removes it. When a feature you voted for ships to Released, that vote is freed automatically for you to spend elsewhere.

How do I delete my ChatCut account?

Account deletion is scheduled from the same Feedback dialog:

  1. Select your avatar in the editor’s top-right corner, then select Feedback. You can also use the round bug button in the editor’s bottom-right corner.
  2. In the dialog, select Delete account.
  3. Read the deletion and billing notice, then enter the exact email address shown in Type your email address to confirm.
  4. Select Schedule account deletion. ChatCut signs this account out after the request is accepted.

Your account and its data are permanently deleted 30 days after you schedule deletion. Signing back in with the same account before the 30 days end cancels the scheduled deletion. Any active subscription is canceled when deletion is scheduled.

Amounts already charged are not refunded automatically. If you need a refund or need help preserving account data, contact support before scheduling deletion. Do not use this action simply to cancel a renewal; use Avatar → Credits history → Subscription → Cancel Subscription instead.
