Use Export → XML to hand the active Timeline to Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve as an FCP7 XMEML .xml file. Choose the target app because the two importers interpret some motion values differently.
Export and import XML
- Select Export → XML.
- Choose Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Optional: enable Include motion graphics. This Pro-gated option renders each motion graphic as a transparent ProRes 4444 file beside the XML.
- Start the export and download every file in the bundle.
- Keep the XML, rendered graphics, and accessible original media together.
- Import the XML in the target NLE, then relink offline clips to the folder containing your original media.
XML cannot carry every ChatCut feature. Captions, GIFs, unrendered motion graphics, solids, SVGs, text items, corner radius, effects, and transitions can be dropped. Review the warning shown before export and recreate unsupported work in the destination editor.
This produces an editable timeline interchange, not a final video file. For a finished file, use Export Video, Audio, and Subtitles.
