AI generation uses ChatCut credits. The amount depends on the generation type and its settings; manual editing, uploads, transcription, and export do not consume credits.
Check the estimate before generating
- Video Gen shows an estimate after you choose the model, resolution, duration, and supported source inputs.
- Agent-driven video, image, or motion-graphics work can show a confirmation card before the job starts.
- Music, sound effects, and voice generation use their active backend rate and chosen duration, character count, voice, or engine.
An estimate is not the completed transaction. Provider-reported duration or input usage, per-job rounding, retries, and the actual output can change the final amount.
Verify the final charge
- Open the avatar menu in the top-right of the editor.
- Select Credits history.
- Open Detail.
- Read the completed negative transaction and its resulting balance.
If a generation fails, check the failed asset in My Assets, then inspect Credits History instead of assuming that the estimate was charged. The current rate table is maintained on Credits; video rates also depend on the model matrix and selected settings.
