Troubleshooting and Reference

Common Errors

Start with the exact message shown in the editor. ChatCut reports immediate validation near the control you used, longer-running generation failures on the asset card in My Assets, and account or credit issues in a dialog.

Where should I look for the error?

  • Composer or toast: invalid files, missing prompt, unsupported input combinations, and settings that need correction before sending.
  • My Assets: progress and final status for video, image, music, and other generation jobs. Open the failed card for its message.
  • Export panel: unsupported export options, browser limitations, and render failures.
  • Avatar → Credits history: credit balance, transactions, subscription, and payment actions.

Why is the Send button disabled?

Hover the button and read its tooltip. Common causes include a missing first frame, a last frame without a first frame, missing source video, missing edit/extension prompt, unsupported audio-only references, or a source outside the allowed duration. Add or replace the requested input.

Why was a reference removed or rejected?

Confirm the selected model and input mode. Switching models keeps only compatible media. Remove extra files, convert unsupported formats, shorten an overlong source, or choose a model that accepts that media type. See Video Generation Models.

Why does a feature ask me to upgrade?

The current account does not have access to that feature or capacity. Select Upgrade in the dialog to review current options. If you already upgraded, refresh the project and reopen the action. If access is still wrong, contact support with the account email and a screenshot of the dialog.

What if I have insufficient credits?

Open the avatar menu and select Credits history to check the balance and recent transactions. Add or renew credits using the options shown there, then submit again. Do not repeatedly retry a request that already has an active job in My Assets.

What if generation fails after it starts?

Read the failed asset card. Provider safety checks, temporary service problems, and output processing errors can happen after submission. Follow the card’s specific instruction: revise the named prompt or reference, retry later, or regenerate. Use the credit transaction shown in Credits history to verify whether any charge was retained; do not infer billing from the error category alone.

When should I contact support?

Contact support after the same valid input fails repeatedly, a completed payment does not update access, a project cannot reopen, or an export fails after retrying with standard settings. Include the account email, project URL, approximate time, exact message, browser or desktop version, and a screenshot. Do not send private payment credentials or unnecessary source media.
