Digital humans

Save and reuse a default voice

Choose a preset or cloned voice for a saved digital human. ChatCut reuses it for future videos and lets you replace it later.

See the creation cost before continuing

The photo-avatar creation flow shows the current estimated credit cost before the creation request is submitted.

Live credit estimates in the final confirmation

Before a digital-human video is submitted, the final confirmation uses the live backend estimate instead of a hardcoded price.

Version requirement: Agent Plugin No update required

Background removal

Remove image backgrounds with AI

Create a transparent cutout from an image and continue positioning, styling, or animating it on the canvas.

Playback

Faster J, K, and L playback controls

Keyboard shuttle controls respond with less delay when changing direction, pausing, or increasing playback speed.

Media library

Preview generated media in the library

Generated images, video, and audio can be opened in the library player before they are added to the timeline.

Captions

Edit caption content directly on Desktop

Desktop brings the caption Content panel in line with Web, including search, replace, split, merge, segmentation controls, and synchronized selection between the canvas and Inspector.

Translate captions directly from Desktop

Start caption translation from the Desktop caption controls and keep the translated source linked to the original timing.

Fixes

Digital humans

Digital-human generation works in production

Avatar creation and video generation no longer fail with a service-disabled error in the production environment.

Version requirement: Desktop No update required, Agent Plugin No update required

Deleted voices are removed from saved defaults

Deleting a cloned voice now clears any digital-human default that referenced it, so future generation does not reuse a missing voice.

Version requirement: Desktop No update required, Agent Plugin No update required

Clearer voice controls

Avatar cards no longer show duplicate voice controls, and the replacement flow prioritizes voices you own.

Viewer

Selected canvas items stay interactive

On Desktop, the selected item keeps priority when media overlaps, its handles stay above hover layers, and portions outside the Viewer can still be selected and dragged.
