Restart after an update finishes in the background
When a Desktop update finishes downloading in the background, ChatCut offers to restart immediately or wait until later. Dismissing one version does not hide future updates.
Select and drag overlapping media more predictably, keep caption editing in sync, and finish Desktop updates with a clear restart prompt.

Desktop caption editing now includes a direct delete action for the active caption card.
Hover and click target the frontmost media, while dragging preserves the item or multi-item selection you already chose. Context-menu actions also keep the current selection.
Starting a drag from an unselected library item no longer selects or previews it, so the current canvas selection stays stable until you drop.
Retrying after a failed update now checks and downloads again instead of carrying over the previous error state.
The active caption follows editing and the playhead more reliably, and clicking outside text editing no longer clears the selected caption unexpectedly.
Opening a non-timeline workspace panel no longer disables the preview controls for the active project.
Desktop repairs dangling item references during project loading instead of leaving the timeline blank or blocking later edits.
